Amir Nave

(b. 1974, Be'er Sheva, Israel) is a visual artist. He is been active since 2006, and in recent years he has been living and creating in Israel and Paris.


In March 2024, Nave was awarded the Guerlain foundation drawing prize, and in November of the same year, two of his works were acquired by the Centre Pompidou in Paris.


In 2025, Nave published two artist’s books:
Moharamia in the Jordan River, hardcover, 214 pages, full color, English, published by Hatje Cantz.
The Book of Measures, hardcover, 241 pages, full color, Hebrew and Arabic.

In 2022, Nave presented a trilogy of exhibitions in Israel and France under the title The Slave Age. The extensive body of work he began creating during the COVID-19 pandemic took the form of an installation composed of large-scale paintings and sculptures, depicting an awakening of individuals within contemporary human society. The first part of the trilogy was exhibited at the Mishkan Art Museum Ein Harod, between January and May 2022. The second part of the trilogy, The Last Breath Before Falling Asleep, was exhibited during June 2022 at Galerie In Situ–Fabienne Leclerc in Paris. The third part, The Song of the Slaves, opened in September 2022 at Chelouch Gallery in Tel Aviv-Jaffa.

Nave's works have been exhibited, among others, in the Israel Museum, Tel Aviv Museum, Herzliya Museum, Sommer Gallery, Galerie In Situ–Fabienne Leclerc in Paris, Shin Gallery in New York, Continua Gallery–Les Moulins in France, as well as in important art fairs such as Asia Now, Art Basel, Fiac in Paris and Frieze in New York. His works were purchased for important art collections in Israel and around the world.
